The major league is for boys and girls competing 5th and 6th grade (11-12 years old).
All players will be placed on a team after evaluations.
RULES AND REGULATIONS
- Stealing is permitted at all bases. The ball must cross the plate before a runner can try to advance, no leading off.
- Every player must play 3 innings in the field and bat at least once.
- Teams must field 9 players on defense.
- Teams can bat all their players or just nine. This is up to the coach and does not have to be the same as the opposing team.
- Pitchers can pitch a rolling 6 innings. If a pitcher pitches at all in an inning it counts towards 1 of the 6 total.
- Keep the game moving by making sure players run on and off the field. Catchers should be ready to start the inning when possible.
- Continue to teach respect to the players on both teams. There will be wrong calls and this is part of the game at every level. Stay positive and move on.
- At the end of the game make sure the dugout is clean, including emptying the garbage out of the dugout. Also, rake and drag the bases, home plate and field.
