The major league is for boys and girls competing 5th and 6th grade (11-12 years old).

All players will be placed on a team after evaluations.

  • Stealing is permitted at all bases.  The ball must cross the plate before a runner can try to advance, no leading off.
  • Every player must play 3 innings in the field and bat at least once.
  • Teams must field 9 players on defense.
  • Teams can bat all their players or just nine.  This is up to the coach and does not have to be the same as the opposing team.
  • Pitchers can pitch a rolling 6 innings.  If a pitcher pitches at all in an inning it counts towards 1 of the 6 total.
  • Keep the game moving by making sure players run on and off the field.  Catchers should be ready to start the inning when possible.
  • Continue to teach respect to the players on both teams.  There will be wrong calls and this is part of the game at every level.  Stay positive and move on.
  • At the end of the game make sure the dugout is clean, including emptying the garbage out of the dugout.  Also, rake and drag the bases, home plate and field.
